Shark cage diving is another popular sport and takes place at Dyers Island just off the Gaansbaai coast - a half hour drive from Hermanus.

Excellent restaurants and kilometers of beach abound and nowhere can a better holiday be had than in the small town of Hermanus - an 80 minute drive from Cape Town and in the heart of the Overberg and at the start of the Garden Route.
