A 4.5km gravel mountain pass road winds its way up the mountain, lined with thousands of ancient rocks tells an epic story of life - the road that leads to the zenith of ultra serenity. 

3.5 Billion years of history is captured in the footprints of these rocks. Tucked away among the giant Saddleback Mountains, south-east of Barberton, a magical world of earth reveals itself by telling a story of being the oldest on the planet: millions of years of earthly magic!

Among these rocks a fairytale mountain hut tucks itself away. "The Berghuisie" - home of legends, adventurers, businessmen, travelers, celebrities, honeymoon couples, nature lovers, gypsies, & artists...

"Die Berghuisie" is a rustic, fully equipped self catering cottage (sleeps 4 people), featuring two rooms, one double bed & two single beds. It has a fully equipped kitchen, separate bathroom, a fireplace in the lounge (firewood supplied) and a deck overlooking the Barberton Valley / Basin. It also has an open ouside hot water shower and a private, warm springwater rock pool with spectacular views over the Barberton Valley and Mountains.

The Berghuisie is very private and exclusive, in a safe and tranquil subtropical environment, with an abundance of natural and scenic views and beauty.

This is a place where you escape the everyday hustle and bustle and where your soul meets up with the soul of Mother Nature!!
