Clifton Country House is situated in lush Shongweni/Assegay, on a 150 acre estate, on the outskirts of Hillcrest. Overlooking the Giba Gorge and MTB. The MTB trails are on part of our property and lead down to the Mountain Bike Park.

There are 4 self-catering chalets with wonderful views and each have a patio with braai facilities.

Conveniently situated just off the N3 & M13, only 20 minutes from Durban, Pietermaritzburg as well as popular beaches, on the 1000 Hills tourist route, visit the crocodile farm, Shongweni Dam & Nature Reserve, Tala Game Reserve, etc. conveniently situated for Comrades Marathon and Dusi.

Paroramic views from the patio overlook Giba Gorge with its misty krantzes, waterfalls and dams. Bring your mountain bike or hire one from Giba Gorge Mountain Bike Park and ride the trails/enter their adventure races.

Horses and donkeys graze in the paddock, small farm animals roam around the indigenous gardens, enhancing the welcoming country atmosphere.

Ensure you pack your binoculars as the farm boasts an abundance of bird life.

There is a swimming pool, BBQ/braai facilities and a private Bass dam.
