If you are looking for comfort & friendly service, Lalapanzi Guest House is the place to stay!

Guests are warmly greeted and helped to make the most of their visit while in our beautiful World Heritage Site.

This old Victorian house has five comfortable rooms and one spacious family unit, all with air-conditioning units, tea/coffee trays, ceiling fans, fridges & hairdryers. All rooms are en-suite with bath/shower or both.

In our six rooms, we also have a Honeymoon Suite that has a Victorian bath, glass shower & private balcony.

Lourie- (Family Unit) Two En-suite rooms, one with 4 Twin Bunker Beds, and the other with 1 Double bed (shower & bath).

Sparrow- En-suite room with 2 Twin Beds together (shower & bath).

Bulbul- En-suite room with 2 Single Beds (shower).

Sunbird- En-suite room with Double Bed and Private Balcony (glass shower & Victorian bath)

Weaver- En-suite room with Double Bed (shower & bath).

Wagtail- En-suite room with Double Bed (shower).

Robin- En-suite room with 2 Twin Beds together (shower).

The house has DSTV (satelite TV) in the lounge, a reading area, laundry services and safe parking. Restaurants, the estuary and the beach are all within walking distance, & there is a public safe in the house.

A generous English & Continental breakfast is served on a wooden deck with a view over the saltwater rock swimming pool and our beautifully big tropical forest garden.

There is an abundance of birdlife and small animals. Our garden will take your breath away and at night the Milky Way lights up the sky! There is also braai (BBQ) facilities in the garden with tables and chairs under the trees.

When staying in the Wetland park one can never be bored! You can choose from Hippo & Crocodile trips on the Estuary, Whale watching (in season - July to Nov), Horse Trails, a Crocodile Park, Hiking Trails, Night Drives to Cape Vidal, Snorkeling, Deep-Sea fishing, Zulu Cultural Tours, and much more... All tours can be booked directly from Lalapanzi reception.

There are also Turtle Tours (in season - Nov to Feb) and Off-Road Excursions. These trips give you a new meaning of "Africa". Expect to have an adrenaline rush & to need a bath after your day in the sun! Explore the Wetlands with qualified guides or by yourself. The information you get at the office is spoken from experience. Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Park is approx 60 km from St. Lucia and Cape Vidal only 32 km, making it an ideal stay over.

There are banks, grocery stores, petrol stations, a post office, police station & doctors, not to mention good quality restaurants. The weather is great most of the year and nature is always at its best! St. Lucia is small, but big in adventure and will cater for any tourist! Come and enjoy The Wetlands at Lalapanzi Guest House.

Price Info:

Honeymoon suite R290.00 pppn, Victorian bath, glass shower & private balcony. Our rooms rates range from: R315.00 to R350.00 per person sharing. Our Honeymoon Suite ranges from R350-R370 per person sharing. Childrens rates range from: R270-R300 (only with adults). Single rates range: R370-R400. Children taking up a room, pay full price if 10 years or older. Children younger than 10 years pay three quarters of the price.
