Marlu Farm Stays, in the Steytlerville district, Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, offers a typical working farm vacation where you can experience the fresh air, beauty and restfulness of the Karoo.
Marlu Farm Stay offers Karoo hospitality and farm cuisine (Dinner Bed and Breakfast) Two bedrooms (1 x doublebed plus a single bed and 2 x single bed) sleep five sharing a full bathroom.
Meals, braai packs, picnic baskets, freshly baked bread (Potbrood) and salad options as well as breakfast provisions are available upon request.
We will gladly adapt the menu to suit your preferences as far as possible.
A self-contained flat attached to the farm's homestead.
A private self-catering 4 bed roomed (2 x double bed 5 x single bed plus a cot.) fully equipped farmhouse with all modern conveniences and electricity is available.
There is a comfortable lounge with an indoor braai area.
Fresh water angling, walking (enjoying the fascinating rock formations and the magnificent vistas), hiking, swimming and rowing, game viewing 4X4 route, mountain biking, mountain climbing, abseiling and horse riding can all be enjoyed on the farm or nearby.
4x4 and 4x2 as well as Mountain Biking Tracks.
Rowing and swimming in the Groot River.
Farm tours are available where the entire cycle of lucerne production from the growing right through to the manufacture of animal feed can be experienced. (Ideal for school projects etc.)
