Soete Huys Guesthouse - offers you beautifully appointed rooms in the heart of the Cape Winelands - Wellington, yet 30 minutes from Cape Town.

The property was an apricot farm and it maintains a farm estate feel, with big open lawns, mature trees and beautiful gardens, even though it is now at the edge of Wellington and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. All our rooms are individually styled, with attention to detail & comfort, having spectacular views over Wellington, the surrounding mountains and valley. Our Conference Barn is available for smaller events where participants want a quiet place for reflection or relaxing. The entire property can be booked for group functions.

At Soete Huys we have combined space and comfort with rooms decorated in a light, fresh contemporary setting all in spacious rooms of 45 sq meters. Each room is semi-self catering with its own entrance in a private building and comes with the following amenities : comfortable lounge area with cushioned couch and chairs, breakfast table, TV, Mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, cutlery/crockery.

We have 5 double rooms and one cottage. Five rooms are furnished with a double bed; one with twin beds / kingsize bed. Two rooms have a second bedroom with a bunkbeds. Two rooms have kitchenettes including the family style cottage which sleeps 5-6 persons.

We've recently opened our Conference Barn which is avaible for small parties, concerts or conferences (30 people seated at tables or 50 theater seating)upon request. The barn also has a small relaxing area with chairs and couches for informal gathering. In the warmer months tables and chairs can be set outside for cafe feel for lunches or group discussion.

Our location makes Soete Huys the perfect choice for wedding guests, birthday parties, visitors to the various training institutions in Wellington as well as wine tours and holiday makers. Many guests choose to make Soete Huys their home for extended stays of a week or more. Our guests comment repeatedly about the peaceful "farm estate" experience while still being close to the Wellington town center and the main attractions in and around Cape Town & Cape Peninsula.
