Harrismith a town which has a rich history is located on the banks of the Wilge River and at the joining of the N3 and N5 freeways. There are a number of places in an around the town of historical interest connected with the Anglo Boer War. The Sterkfontein Dan which is located 15km from town is an ideal place for water enthusiasts.
