Helderberg & Overberg Accommodation

An area located some 75km east of Cape Town located on the eastern arm of False Bay encompassed on two sides by the Hottentots-Holland Mountains and the sea on the other.
There are three towns within this area the main being Somerset West which is to the north of the N2 Freeway which travels west to Cape Town and eastwards the Garden Route.
Somerset West is an mature residential area with tree lined streets many of the upper roads enjoy sea views of False Bay.

There are two major golf courses in the town the most well known is Erinvale where major international compititions are played. The town enjoys a wide selection of good class shops and many fine restaurants.
Strand is located south of N2 Freeway and is well known for its popular white sandy beaches which seem to go on for ever.

Gordon’s Bay the smallest of the three towns still retains some of its quaint atmosphere around the harbour and older section of the village. There are two small white sandy beaches. The town and some still think of it as ‘the village’ is divided into two parts, the flat section with the new marina and that part which is located on a gradual sloping mountainside. The latter have beautiful views of False Bay towards Table Mountain.
